Dr Dawn-joy Leong is an autistic artist-researcher presenting autism as parallel embodiment. She also investigates mind-body-elemental emphatic connections through immersive multi-art installations of music, video, photography, storytelling, poetry, visual art and performance. Her interactive artistic research projects encourage participants to develop individualised coping strategies for wellbeing through conscious positive relationships with their immediate material environment. She also encourages individuals to understand themselves better and the way they interact with their surroundings by building their own ideal sensory environment. Dr Dawn-joy Leong will lead a workshop that invites participants to explore and discover wordless emphatic resonance with their own sensory environment and with one another.
