P.S. We Care

P.S. (Peer Support) We Care is a small student organisation, founded by students from the first class of Yale-NUS College. It provides a confidential, non-directive and non-judgmental listening space for six nights a week from 9pm to 12am. The group is made up of students majoring in Physics, Global Affairs, Psychology, and others, all with a common goal of serving the community by providing a warm and safe space on campus. Members receive training every semester to develop listening skills, to increase their knowledge of common mental health disorders and to effectively refer someone to various mental health resources if need be. P.S. We Care is supported by the Counselling Centre at Yale-NUS College with professional guidance and advice from a designated advisor as well as external training opportunities. In Semester 2 (’17/18), members of P.S. We Care were trained in Solution Focused Brief Therapy.
